Can the general public borrow books from Memorial Library?

Information for community members (not a current Minnesota State Mankato student, faculty, or staff) to checkout books from Memorial Library.

Answer

Yes, Minnesota residents with current public library cards can check out Minnesota State Mankato library materials.

To get a library card:

  1. Bring your current Minnesota public library card and photo ID with proof of residence and age to the Circulation Desk.
  2. Fill out an application form. A parent or guardian’s signature is required for residents under 18 years of age.

A library staff person will add a Minnesota State Mankato barcode to your public library card.
