DOIs and stable URLs APA citation style

I had a comment on two articles for my APA Reference List assignment, stating the links should not be as they are (1 is a PDF and the other the person has to log in). I'm having trouble locating a stable URL for these, or DOIs... can you help?

Answer

The first one was open access, so use the stable URL from the publisher's webpage. The other did not have a DOI and no stable URL – the permalink on their page directs to a login page, so according to the APA 7th section 10.1 subsection 3:

Journal, magazine, or newspaper article without a DOI, from most academic research databases or print version:

“Do not include the database name or URL.”

So, just leave the URL off in this case.
