Here are some parameters to keep in mind:

  1. It needs to be recently written, within the “last five years or so”. We have a decent amount of 2014-2015 books that might work so consider expanding your time limit back to 2014.
  2. Dr. Inglot said the book should be written by scholars or expert journalists. “They do not have to be heavy scholarly books but serious”
  3. Books on US foreign policy.  You should NOT use overly historical books (The Foreign Policy of Teddy Roosevelt) or books that are general international relations, which is of course a broader concept than foreign policy.  A quotation search of “foreign policy” in MavScholar works pretty well, but you will need to sift through other countries' foreign policy books.
