Can I borrow equipment like laptops and headphones?

Equipment includes laptops, cameras, calculators, tripods, video recorders, and more.

Answer

Most equipment needs to be requested in advance using our online equipment request form. This is a separate process from requesting books in MavScholar. You will receive an email from library staff confirming when equipment is available for pickup.

Laptop computers

Students can request one of a limited number of student laptops for semester checkout. After you receive an e-mail stating a laptop is available for you, pick it up at Memorial Library's ERC Media Equipment Services during the Services' open hours. MavCard is required to checkout equipment.

Headphones

We recommend bringing your headphones to the Library. The Circulation Desk has a limited number of headphones available for daily use.

Cameras, projectors, and other equipment

One-week checkout to MSU students, faculty, and staff. Complete our online form to request equipment in advance.
